hey jude!

If that kid can't make you smile then you have serious problems.

In other news. Most of me is just done with the drama. I'm too old to deal with this stuff and I have more mature people to spend time with instead of wasting my time dealing with petty issues. Lame-O.

Saturday, Saturday, Saturday

Today is Saturday.
I stayed at home.
I cleaned the kitchen.
I played the piano.
I assembled more invitations.
I learned more about how childish people can be. Adults should grow up.
I realized that I love my family and I will miss them when I leave.
90 DAYS UNTIL I GET MARRIED!
I have to sing early tomorrow so I should get to bed.

I need to get to bed.
GOODNIGHT.

Testing.

I'm trying to figure out how to make a link clickable on theknot.com and I'm having issues.

oh man. i can't get it.

My DIY project. What have I done?

Here's the beautiful invites that I've been putting together tonight. I took the pictures using photobooth on my mac so the words are backwards, but you can kind of get an idea of what they look like. They are actually really beautiful, but very time consuming.

A) The reception and RSVP insert.
B) How the insert goes on the invitations. I've folded a strip of red paper on the back to hold the inserts in. It's a bit tedious but they look great.
C) The inside of the invitation
D) The front of the invitation

Very simple, but very elegant. I like them.

I kind of cheated.

I was writing yesterday about Project Runway season 4 and somehow I stumbled upon the Bryant Park Fashion week shows for all of the finalists from the season. The thing that was confusing though was that both Rami and Chris had their collection go down the runway. So did Sweet P though. I take back what I said though, I don't want Chris to win, I want Jillian to win. After reviewing the video and hearing the commentary I agree that Jillian was the best by far. Rami didn't really surprise me at all, I mean his work was good, but it was what I expected out of Rami. Christian had too many poofy sleeve outfits. The execution was great but so much reminded me of his avant garde challenge from the season. Chris' collection was a bit more costumey and high fashion, which isn't bad, but it wasn't really wearable. Jillian had high fashion, functional pieces and well tailored and executed outfits. There was cohesion in her collection and that's what stood out to me the most.

In other news, I know what I'm doing for my 22nd birthday! Feist will be at the pageant!!! Woo hoo. She's coming just for my birthday. Thanks girl!

I can tell that we are gonna be friends.

Tonight I had dinner with Amber from work and it was so much fun just sitting up at the bar having a drink and getting to know somebody new. We've been fighting it out together at the Creve Coeur Friday's just waiting for our Friday's to open back up again. We decided the other night that we needed to go out and so we did tonight. It was so great.
Now I'm at home watching the season four project runway reunion. I've been watching this season in it's entirety and I feel like I'm friends with these guys. I really want Chris to win. Christian's a little too bitchy for me.

Could he be any cuter?

This is Jeffrey. He is my nephew, well sort of. Samantha is my wonderful cousin and this is her wonderful son. Samantha doesn't have any siblings and so I'm lucky and get to be Aunt Audrey. So here's some of my favorite pictures from his first birthday.

I love the first picture because he was so overwhelmed that he ended up crying. As you can see, everything turned out great for the little guy.

Another of my favorites is the one with the computer screen. That's my uncle Dwayne, he is away in Texas for military business and was there for his grandson's first birthday through the wonders of the internet. It was funny throughout the day to randomly see him on this computer screen. It reminded me of the surrogate dad episodes from Arrested Development.

another week down.

95 days until the big day. Sheesh!

Last night I enjoyed a night by myself here at home. The rents were out at a charity dinner, the bro and his girlfriend were at a monster truck rally and the fiance was partying it up with his guy friends. So I went to the video store and thought about getting a chick flick and ended up walking out of there with "The Kingdom" and "Rescue Dawn", definitely not chick flicks. Then I went to schnucks and bought myself a steak and went home and cooked up a rare steak and watched war movies. It was perfect. The Kingdom is a freaking awesome movie. I highly recommend it.

Today we bought my wedding band and I enjoyed the company of my fiance. We ate lunch at my nana and papa's house, whom I love dearly, and then spent some time out and about. He amazed me again today by telling me all these incredible things he is able to retain in that brain of his. He is quite impressive. He taught me a bit about kabbalah and I have to say it was quite intriguing. I even was able to contribute a thought of mine. Normally that doesn't happen because what he says is generally way over my head. I love him though.

Mmmk. Time for bed. Time to tackle another week.

She wore an isty bitsy teeny weeny...

These are some items from Victoria's Secret that I would love to have. :) I've never purchased anything from there for myself. I really want the hoodie, how could I resist.

Although I don't get to decide which bikini I get. Josh does. I picked out his swimming trunks and he gets to pick out my bikini. He apparently knows exactly what I should wear. ;) I hope he picks one of these.

I love him.

I really do. I said some things today that I wish I could take back but what I love about him so much is that I know that he loves me regardless. I'm very grateful to have him in my life. He teaches me so much everyday about what loving someone really means. He brings happiness and laughter to my life that no one else can. Am I saying all this mushy gushy stuff because it is Valentines Day? Nope. Valentines Day is lame. (Besides my handsome nephew Jeffrey being born on Valentines Day)  Otherwise I've decided I don't like it. Anyway, I love Josh and I appreciate all that he does in my life. All the sacrifices he has made and the things he does to make sure that I'm taken care of. I really am looking forward to sharing my life with and learning more about him. The stress of life has really gotten to me and I just wanted to take this minute or two to breathe and just say that I love him.

can't sleep clowns will eat me.

For serious though. I just can't sleep. One more and I'll try again.

These are rehearsal dinner dresses that I'm thinking about.

ok. I'm addicted.

now that i've figured out how to embed vidoes on here i'm adding some more. :)

This song will be used in our wedding and the music video brings me tears every time I watch it. It just tells so much about what life means.

And who could go wrong with Immi Heap. She's brilliant

Feb YOU arie.

Grr. I just spent all this time typing up this blog and then my internet program crashed on me. Boo hiss.

Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, February is probably one of my least favorite months. Regardless of all the ooshy gooshyness of Balentimeths Day, to me it's just lame-o in the words of my friend Andy Bernard. Cold weather makes me such a lazy procrastinator. We've had teaser days of nice weather and something about the warmer air just releases some kind of hormone in my body that allows me to get a load of stuff accomplished. I just don't like winter. I hate the feeling of being cooped up inside because I feel so limited to what I can do.

I'm ready for spring. Not sure if I'm prepared for all the wedding craziness that is about to ensue, but I don't have much of an option. My first wedding shower is in about 2 weeks and that is exciting because what girl doesn't like to open up presents? There's really a lot to look forward to. I'm really ready for my dress to come in. It's supposed to come in during the first week of April but it would be totally awesome if it came in earlier. I have days where I just want to go in to the bridal shop and wear it around.

More good news of the day...I am so happy that our wedding photographer is freaking amazing. Props to my pal Rachel Holper for suggesting our amazing photographer Lisa Hessel. Check out her work dudes!

And in the spirit of Balentimeth's day...here is my friend Dave Barnes with a song for you.
